Clicking this button will cause you to enter the Compact Machine. In the bottom right you will see a picture of a Personal Shrinking device if and only if you have one in your inventory.
If you click the map picture in the top left of the GUI you can filter which players are allowed to enter your machine. If you click the name tag in the top right of the GUI you can rename your machine. Here you can see a preview of what the inside of your Compact Machine looks like. Right clicking on a Compact Machine with an empty hand will open its GUI.
Breaking it with your hand takes almost a minute though. You can break the Compact Machine with anything and it will drop. Place your Compact Machine down by right clicking on the ground with it in hand. Each tier above increases the size by 2 more than its previous tier (small is 5x5x5, normal is 7x7x7, … maximum is 13x13x13). The smallest machine is 3x3x3 on the inside. All of them can be crafted in your Miniaturization Field. There are six different Compact Machines: Tiny, Small, Normal, Large, Giant, and Maximum. Once the process is complete, your 16 Compact Machine Wall will be dropped at the center of the Miniaturization Field. If you did everything right, the orange cube will start to move as crafting commences. Once you have completed the structure, walk outside the bounds of the orange cube, and throw a piece of redstone (default button q) so that it touches the orange cube before it hits the ground. Get the required materials and place an iron block with redstone dust on top anywhere inside the orange cube. In the bottom right you can see you need to throw a piece of redstone dust into the Miniaturization Field (the orange cube) to start the crafting recipe. In the top right you can see you are crafting 16 Compact Machine Walls. On the left side you can see you will need one redstone dust and one iron block. You should now see a spinning iron block with a piece of redstone dust on top of it. In the JEI click on Compact Machine Wall. I am going to walk you through an example. I know that the above information might be a bit confusing. In the bottom right is the item which you must throw into the Miniaturization Field to start the crafting process. In the top right is the item which you are crafting. On the left side of the GUI is a list of all of the blocks you need to craft the multiblock structure. Holding shift will make this model transparent so you can see the inside. In the center of the GUI is a spinning model of the multiblock structure that you must build. In the Multiblock Miniaturization Field GUI there are 4 sections.
This means you have to build a structure within The Miniaturization Field in order to craft these items. Clicking on any of these items will bring up its “recipe.” The Personal Shrinking Device and The Miniaturization Field Projectors have a normal recipe, but the other items have a Multiblock Miniaturization Recipe. In the JEI you can type to bring up everything from the pack. If there are no blocks obstructing the area, the Projectors will start working and you will see a giant orange cube. You should now have four Projectors equidistant from each other, all facing inwards. Place the other two Projectors in their correct spots, facing each other. The coordinates will also be put in chat. Two arrows will appear in the world pointing to where the other two Projectors need to go. Once you have placed two Projectors, right click on one of them. For each size, the Projectors must be 1, 2, and 3 blocks off the ground respectively. Start by placing two Miniaturization Field Projectors directly across from each other, either 7, 11, or 15 blocks apart. I suggest making the max size right away so you don’t have to rebuild it later when you want to craft more advanced items. The multiblock structure has variable sizes.

Everything that you craft for the mod from this point on will be in a multiblock structure built with these Miniaturization Field Projectors. These are relatively expensive if you are still early game. The next thing you are going to need to get your hands on are four Miniaturization Field Projectors (one crafting recipe’s worth). If you right click while looking at a Compact Machine, you will enter into the machine. If you right click with the Personal Shrinking Device in hand while looking at nothing (air), you will open up the mod’s in-game guide. This device is the key to Compact Machines 3. The first thing that you are going to want to craft is the Personal Shrinking Device. These boxes come in many different sizes and can send items and redstone signals to and from the outside world. Compact Machines 3 is a mod which enables the player to create boxes that are larger on the inside than on the outside (sound familiar?).
